Disappointing tie-break, but very encouraging signs for Del Potro. Hopefully he’ll be back competing at the business end of tournaments next year.
Rafa returned to action for the first time since the Australian Open at Indian Wells with a comfortable 6-1, 6-3 win over Leonardo Mayer. Andy Murray was dumped out in the second round by Guillermo Garcia-Lopez in straight sets. Federer and Nadal have yet to play their third round games while Djokovic has crusied into the fourth round.

Del Potro has been excellent against Verdasco here. Great game. Would love to see Del Porto mount a few slam challenges this year.
His form is definitely picking up. Ran Fed close in the semi final in Dubai recently.
Rafa cruised through in straight sets against Dolgopolov. Djokovic dropped a set in beating Andujar while the shock of the day came with Nalbandian dumping Tsonga out.

Really looking forward to the Federer-Del Potro quarter tonight.
Djokovic and Isner will face off in one of the semi’s, while the other one has yet to be decided. Rafa also progressed to the men’s doubles final last night.
