Is this not a bit harsh or am I missing something?

I would say it’s harsh.

The line judge did a David Ellary.

To my very untrained eye, it doesn’t look like he did it deliberately and certainly not with any malice (though I’m sure he can strike a ball very hard).

Na fuck him he’s a cunt.

I’m not disputing that

She went down like she was shot ffs :joy:

They are being consistent with these decisions. All the way back to tiger Tim at Wimbledon.

Looking at it there again the line never moves, its like she says fuck this I’m going to take the hit and go down

Novak doesn’t usually fire the ball back to ball boys at that pace though

A fair wallop

A tennis ball at 40km an hour in to the face would surely hurt ?

Even more on the throat.

Kyrgios reaction on twitter should be good. :grinning:

Ya it should be.

Was it not the case that Nadal decided to skip the US Open? I think he diplomatically cited concerns about Coronavirus protocols but presumably with the French Open getting under way a week after the US Open final, he’s focusing exclusively on that. In fairness you can’t fault Nadal for that. Its a ridiculously tight turnaround time between two Grand Slam events. He’s still a red hot favourite for the French. It would have been a tall order to win both and in trying to win the US Open would most likely have jeopardised prospects at the French.

Yes.

Zverev v Coric
Carreno Busta v Shapovalov
Medvedev v Rublev
Thiem v De Minaur

Medvedev v Rublev should be a superb match up.
