If Medvedev closes this one out in three I make Medvedev favourite.
Medevedev has won three of their last 4 meetings.
Best outcome for the final is that Medvedev wins this match, if it goes to another 5 setter and Tsistsipas wins Djokovic will destroy him in the final.

Medvedev starts favourite for me if he can close it out in 3 now.
He has beaten Djokovic in 3 of their last 4 meetings and he has the type of game which will drive Djokovic mental.
Tsistsipas is barely making a dent on Medvedev’s serve. This will finish in 3. Think the Nadal match has wiped Tsistispas.
Djokovic/Medvedev will be a cracker.
Should Medvedev win he will most likely go to Roland Garros as no 2 seed.
This is bad news for Djokovic as far as a French Open goes as it means he would most likely have to beat both Nadal and Thiem if he is to win there.
I don’t see Medvedev being too much of a threat on clay.
I’d put the top 4 clay players as:
- Nadal
- Thiem
- Djokovic
- Tsitsipas

I’d fancy Djokovic in a 5 setter. He seems to be on the slide but his determination is something else. Huge pressure on him though
Medvedev reminds me of Djokovic a lot, I think he has that steel mentality Djokovic has. He has the ability to retrieve balls he has no right to and frustrate the life out of opponents.
I also think Medvedev is only second to Nadal at the minute in terms of how he plays the game tactically, his shot selection and his ability to bamboozle his opponents and not give them a good read into what he is going to drives them crazy.
Didn’t see the game today but apparently Tsitsipas said Medvedev was serving like John Isner.
Medvedev is also the form player. I don’t think Djokovic has played all that well this tournament so far.

Yeah tsitipas didn’t threaten medvedev’s serve at all, got a break in the 3rd set because Medvedev served a few dbl faults.
Djokovic got off the hook against zverev big time and did what he needed to do against karazev. One thing for sure is the final won’t be a 3 setter anyways unless medvedev has a total collapse which won’t happen
