The Tennis Thread

Tennis Australia?

Yup the folks that run the tournament.

Why are people shouting the odds at the Australian government?

The Australian Federal government made the call to kick him out.

Tennis Australia seemed to think they were in charge of border control.

Why are people losing their minds with Government officials enforcing border controls?

Don’t think they are really. Really only seems to be a few ultra Serbian Nationalists and @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy thet are getting hot and bothered about it.

The type that think Djokovic being holed up in a hotel for a few days amounts to genocide yet think the Serbs slaughtering many thousands of Bosnian Muslims doesn’t.

Someone is telling porkies.

I’d say the Australians don’t give a shite about that considering the awful conditions they have else where and how they treat immigrants.

There is a TV drama called stateless made about this woman detained for 10 months, even though she is actually Australian.

Their offshore centres are notoriously disgraceful

Be great craic if he wins the case and then wins the tournament.

As kyrgios said

'If he’s allowed to play the Australian Open, I don’t want any bar of him. I reckon he’s going to be p***ed off.

‘He’s going to be very determined to play well and stick it to everyone of what’s going on. And I don’t want any bar of that Novak.’

He’s 7/5 to win it at the moment and he barred from the country

If he doesn’t play it’s a void. So a shot to nothing essentially.

Apart from the pocket of Serbs going absolutely banana.

Only vaccinated people will be allowed in which might dilute his fan base :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I found this an interesting read, particularly with regard to how this could run for all future sporting events.

Be some laugh if Novak wins his case. Australians are some pigs.

Novak will play. We’ve made our point, now let’s get on with the tennis.
