Went up Moylussa for the first time today. Grand little hike.

That last stretch before the boardwalks going up. Tough tough bit to try and run

Ya I can imagine, its very steep in spots.
Met an auld lad near the top, well into his 70s I’d say, says he does it 2 or 3 times a week.

Probably 40s and weather beaten

Anyone ever climb Slieve Donard?

Is it true on a fine day you can see as far as Scotland, Belfast, Dublin and the Isle of Man on a fine day from the top?

You can see the Isle of Mann no bother, I think you can make out Scotland in the distance.

It’s a lovely climb. Very straightforward. Path all the way, handy car park.

I must try it some time.

Hit the Toon then afterwards.

What’s lugnaquilla like lads.

I think that’s next on the list we’re doing. Probably April at this stage

Not bad. Bring a compass and charged phone. Very easy to get disoriented at top when mist and fog come in.

I read a Facebook post from a woman who got disorientated in foggy conditions and when she eventually got down she was 20km from her car

My pal is fairly experienced and he had mentioned that risk alright. He’ll be along with us

Never been up it, intending to knock it off this summer. Myself and @Batigol abandoned a summit attempt in the rain a few years back when we decided we really just wanted to go to the pub. A lot of the Wicklow mountains is open, featureless bog so I can see how it would be easy get lost up there.

Sin é. Sharp enough ascent up Knockomagh, grand workout before I plonked myself down in front of the box

A fairly unique lake - iirc it fills with seawater regularly with the tides (or bulges cc @Thomas_Brady ) so it has its own special ecosystem, wildlife that doesn’t exist elsewhere in Ireland etc etc.
