Ah Jesus. That’s rough.
You’d have been better off getting knocked down.

If you got knocked down you would have something to show for it.

Another first person account, published on Chinese social media platform Sina Weibo, is from runner Xiao-Tao Zhang, who reports he was running among the top-six men when the weather turned. In summary, he encountered the storm between checkpoints two and three, which for him was rain, hail, very high winds, and cold temperatures. When the weather became unbearable, he says he hit the SOS button on his GPS tracker. Soon he passed out, and woke some hours later in a cave where he’d been carried by a local sheep herder. The herder had made a fire and wrapped him in a quilt. Other runners had also taken refuge there. Zhang believes he is the only survivor among the top-six men with whom he’d been running near when the storm began

Some lads did over 80 loops in a backyard challenge in England, setting a new world record of 320 miles or something like that.

A 4 mile loop in your back garden? Who was this, the Duke of Beaufort?

Looks more like a light jog than a run

It’s a remarkable effort.
The fastest time at the national fell running championship last week was set by a lad of 15 and 1 week who looked like Harry potter apparently. Beat all the adults. Won the u16 by half a km.
Route was laps of 6k with 800m of climbing :flushed::flushed:

Paddy has a mate running in it called Drew Holmen. Paddy will be bringing him home so presume he’ll be running some of the latter parts of it with him

Pacers come in from 62 miles so could run the full 38 with him. Think Drew got in on a golden ticket (i.e. top two in a qualifying race). He could get top 10.

My mate

I love ‘rounds’. I’d never fucking do one (bar the Cooleys 40 mile round I’ve designed for when I turn 40. I won’t do it.)
