Some great clips here.
It doesnât look good for you.
Jared Campbell, who had finished it three times before but his last finish was 8 years ago, offered her the supposedly âeasierâ clockwise direction for the final loop, with him taking the counter clockwise. What a mighty sound gesture. Campbell still made it round for his fourth finish.

Whatâs the context here, pal? Were they not permitted to both take the same route & work together?
No. The run goes clockwise, counter-clockwise, CW, CCW.
If more than one runners gets to the final loop, they alternate. First person gets to pick and will always go CW. That means even numbered runners (2nd, 4th, 6th) will go CCW. Paris was sixth in (but itâs not in terms of who is in, it is in terms of who is ready to go back out) just behind Campbell but he stood back to let her have the CW direction.
You will find that people will work together in the earlier loops. You donât tend to have many left by the final loop ( a couple of years ago, it was over after three loops) but thereâs never been a case of someone working with another on the final one.
He did, and it was a great great gesture in the heat of battle.
Thatâs amazing
More from Campbell here about spending quite a bit of time with Paris on the 4th loop.

Class stuff. Fair play to him. Some adventure.
Some going alright and should be way more media attention as well as the donations .
Ones and twos baby
Munster backyard ultra still going and down to last 5 who headed out on 19th lap. Somewhere in Tipp. A lovely kind of madness that event seems to be.
Edit - 4 now out on lap 20. None of the 4 lifting the knees much off the ground
One of the last three left runs a Tuesday night trail run up this way. Seems a nice fella. Has done plenty of this type of event before.
20 laps isnât great
