The good lady decided to get my a vinyl for Christmas… I was in a record store in Mahon Point the other day and she casually, and obvious as fuck, starts asking me about records I have etc…anyway, didn’t I drop it to the poor thing that I already had a record that she went off and bought -Fleetwood Mac, Rumours- So she had to come out and confess as it was bought on Amazon ( the gowl, she should be supporting independent record stores) anyway, isn’t there an independent record store not long open in Douglas and your man is sound enough… I says- you should chance your man, I’d say he would have no problem swapping it for you…sure enough, the sound cunt said that would be no problem… Of course I had earlier dropped that I was mad for Bowie or Neil Young and it turns out the sound cunt has plenty of both… What an amazing feel good Christmas story, eh?

Just as I went to photograph the Bruce Springsteen box set from XXXX years ago I find it missing.

Just set up my young lad’s first vinyl system. Amazing what you can do for a few hundred bucks. $80 Ion deck connected to M-Audio AV-40 powered speakers. He picked out LZ II himself to break it in. Happy days remembering long ago happy days.
