Longest day is brilliant, there’s been a few top class Vietnam movies, but Ice Cold in Alex is the best war movie I’ve seen

Going to watch the Longest Day on More 4 here in a couple of minutes. The book on which the film was based was written by Dublin born and Synge Street educated Cornelius Ryan and was a staple in pretty well every Irish household 50 years ago.

That put in 3 and a half hours of self isolation the finest.
