I think the whole of the forum can agree on this one - A big yes.
I’ve never heard of these cunts, but I trust your taste in music, so it’s a yes from me.
I can go along with that.
Their new album is very good. You’ve got my vote Choco.
A very good band.
I’m delighted that I was the first poster to bring them to the attention of the forum back in early 2012, and I’m also delighted that other posters have clambered on board the bandwagon - I’m the opposite of @farmerinthecity in this regard.
FAO of @ChocolateMice - I don’t like the war on drugs, however.
Their gig in the Electric Arena at EP in 2015 is in my top 5 ever. Absolutely blown away by them live.
I’ll be first in line if/when they come back to Ireland.
Got the album that was about 3 records back “Slave Ambient” (correct title?)
Thought it was alright. Nothing I’ve heard since has changed my mind. If they’re the best band in the world at the moment, then music has died
Very good band, but best around, nah. Will see if the new album maintains the quality of Lost in a Dream which is fairness is a lovely album. They wouldn’t be the first band to have lost the plot after signing with a major label.
They wouldn’t even be the best NA band around imo, Arcade Fire #1, Spoon are far superior with a great body of work and not slowing down, the National are excellent,
Great to see everyone in agreement so far.
I was a little bit meh on them …until I saw them live
Seen them live in Manchester. Had to do a bit of a swerve to avoid staying with @flattythehurdler. But sin sceal eile. They were superb live. And I like their albums.
I think they’re shite.
I’m yet to be convinced
Well swerved. The gesture was greatly appreciated.
You will in your fuck pal you will be on here having a few late night bottles complaining about the price of childcare or something
Congrats
I’ll be seeing them in Manchester in November again. But I’ll be employing the swerve again.
Thanks buddy.
We’ve grandparents on both sides lining up for babysitting duties. So from after Christmas onwards, we’ve great intentions on getting back on and about for such events.
Whether it actually happens is another story!
