🌬 The Weather Thread part 2

It’s a balmy 11 degrees here in the ragget. I’ve the roast in the oven. Will have a glass of red and peel a few spuds around 12. I’ll throw on a few 80s tunes. The family coming for a 2pm carvery. But by fuck its crawling along

I hope you don’t fall asleep and miss the match.

No intention of it kid. I’ll say this once and once only. Today is rather special for me regardless of the result. August 2 years ago , I didn’t really get the full satisfaction of it. I went from elation to finding out I was fucking riddled with cancer. This time two years ago I was in the throws of chemo. This time last year, I thought all was well only to get another kick in the stones after Christmas. Today I’m probably healthier than a lot of the cunts posting here. Yes I absolutely miss the buzz of being up early, getting the gear ready, picking up the aul lad and having my 1 pint of black with the carvery.
To make up for that, I will have all the people who are close to me around me today. We’ll eat and drink well. We’ll be warm enough. We’ll enjoy the day regardless of the result and then look forward to the Christmas. I think that pretty much sums it up and I hope all posters enjoy the day as much as I’m going to.

It’s bucketing down…wind picking up.

Tis rockin and rollin now lads

I’ve a feeling the country will freeze over for six weeks. Making lock down an irrelevance.

Was 15 degrees here this morning. Felt unpleasant and unnatural.

Fair raining now

Be careful this morning lads.

Its looking likely there could be a pretty nasty storm moving across the country St Stephens night

May as well finish off the year with a right one.

Thanks pal. You’re on the ball as always.
