🌬 The Weather Thread part 2

Jokes aside, you’re not directly affected are you?

In better news for the board, didsbury rubby club is under there, about 5 feet under I reckon.

No it’s about 750m away thank God.
Matt cycling is on his way over with his wife to stay the night. He’s right on the edge of the ref zone on that small island. Police have told them to move their cars and either go upstairs or leave, it’s up to them.its staggering.

Here’s the river this afternoon Compare to the post on the running thread from early morning same spot.
Been rising steadily since.
That top bank is about 18 feet above normal level and is the top of the flood defence. Once it got over that it was all downhill

Its odd that there hasnt been anything like that kind of water level here this winter along the Shannon in Limerick anyway.

Thought your specialist area was nutrition

Any snow lads?

I said GPs nutrition education was below what it should be and it’s recognised as such internationally.

You being reduced to ad hominem attacks is not like you pal. The lettuce not come up?

That would be the dream mate.

I’m 35 so I’ve a way to go yet unfortunately.

Jaysus hope the waters subside soon @flattythehurdler. Have ye had floods like this before?

No never anything near. It’s hard to believe how far from the river they are, and how most of the time it’s only few feet deep. I can’t get my head round it tbh.

Here’s the normal level. If you zoom you can see a lad over on the far side which is the didsbury side. It’s flooded up over the top bank and still rising.

12-15 foot rise? Has a dam upstream bust?

No, and I’d say over 20 ft tbh. no dam, just drainage

Is it tidal?

Is that the river or is it a canal?
