I think the plug in cars/EVs have timed heaters so this life hack will be of limited time value as people move away from ICE

You could, but then you’d be sitting in the car in the cold burning time. My time is far too important to be doing that
Bit cold out.
Heres a foolproof process.
- 10 minutes before you head off, go out and fire up the engine and put on the windscreen mode on the a/c
- Go back in and wait a few minutes, fill a jug/kettle with water from the tap and pour it over the windows
- Go back in and make a mugga
- Get in your nice warm, perfectly windowed car and fuck off

your solution leads to a number of major health concerns, as idling cars have been linked to asthma, an overall decrease in lung function, cardiac disease, and even cancer. Simply put, they are horrible to breathe in.

I wish it was -5… I just saw a couple of polar bears out at the neighbours bins here. It might also have just been the neighbours but Cork is probably the coldest place in Europe right now.

I took a tumble while walking on St Brigid’s Road near the Killester/Artane border around 2.15pm. No injury to report but I let out a little scream and my pride was wounded. I didn’t notice the slippy patch on the ground.
