You’d be savage excited as a youngster still in school with the potential of an unexpected day off

I’d say all the teachers are even giddier.

Tomorrow is looking like a belter of a day. Lads are going to walk up in the morning wondering what the fuss was about.

Hardly any point in my daughters school opening. They were already finishing early for a staff meeting of some sort and now they are not opening till 10. She will be in for barely 2 hours.

They’ll reschedule the staff meeting

You’re another lad who was beaten in school? :man_shrugging:

What difference will it make between 9am and 10am on a nice morning ? Seriously?

To be fair it’s to give principals a chance to assess any damage that may have been done overnight

Go in at 8, it would be easier if they just closed the schools

Big wind at it again. Making massive profits off wind farms tonight

It’d be a rare principal that wasn’t in at 8 in any case (in fairness)

Its a bizarre thing to close for an hour

They can’t turn them on when its too windy

The models available at the time were showing the storm calming around 9

They can’t win in fairness

Irish weather is incredibly difficult to predict accurately at times like this

Windy.com doesn’t seem to aware of this massive storm

I’d get your affairs in order lads

Technically yes. There is point in time where too much wind is too much, alomg with the overall impact to the grid.

But i want to bitch about something. Typical teachers getting as many holidays as they can. They should be docked the days pay for this…

It’s there alright. You need to change the model you are looking at.

Will they react to the new models as quickly ?
