🌬 The Weather Thread part 2

After the rain that fell today it wouldn’t take much to flood the place

The water was up to the steps of the gym earlier.

Hopefully Sean Hogan and his gallant band will take charge of the situation

When is it actually supposed to hit? I’m heading away for a few days later this week

Thursday afternoon/evening into Friday for the worst of it if it hits us.

Fuccck I’m traveling to Paris Friday morning :upside_down_face::upside_down_face::upside_down_face:

Be grand. I’m flying from Dublin, the storms never get as far as there

Missing limerick final after all your talk.

The limerick final was originally planned for the Sunday week so I booked my trip Around it. I won’t be rescheduling again.

Keep me posted so

What’s the odds of me getting back out of England on a midday flight Friday

Optimistic

I don’t want to be watching the late late in a premier inn near Heathrow bro.

Are you a strong swimmer?

I’d take my chances with the hurricane before jumping in the Irish sea

there was a fair wind blowing earlier in north west meath
the father is up and we proceeded to have a 20 minute discussion (unrequited btw) on the diectionality of same - he was adamant it was coming in from the east but after 15 minutes outside smoking declared it has swung in from the north east and we will see temperatures drop
he loves the wind - down in cobh you just get those south westerlies keeping the place mild - he was regaling there about orphelia “never seen a southerly like it” he told me and referring to how he walked out the back garden to get a “feel” of it, but its the gusting of course that can catch a man

ah lovely

You’ll get there in no time with that breeze at your back

Based on the models I’ve seen, it won’t be at his back.
