I’m not at work, are you?

Tetchy. Must be the underlying guilt.
Anyone ever put a number in the amount of man hours in productivity lost to the TFK annually? The GDP of a small nation I’d bet.
Look at it the other way. Most of the information I need to know about in the world is posted on TFK, with occasional banter while I sit at my desk. If I had to trawl multiple websites for this news then it would take 2, maybe 3 times as long. If I wanted some banter, I’d have to spend time trying to find work colleagues who are not weirdos which would also take time. So TFK actually saves me time each day and makes me more productive.
Dicey’s was like Ibiza last night. 2.50 a drink, the place heaving, the windows fogging up and at least 50% of the clientele from Spain. My eyes nearly popped. That’s the second night in three I’d been there (Sunday too). I hadn’t been in the place for years before that. Last night was the first evening I’d been at (not in) the Pav for three years. Myself and a mate got two cans each this afternoon and brought them back to the Pav to sip, then, for the laugh, cycled out to Leixlip, where we had another pint before cycling off our separate ways. We might bring guitars tomorrow. I’m now sitting in my back garden in my bare feet sipping another beer while playing songs on my laptop at full volume. The four songs on my playlist so far have been: Kate Bush - Cloudbusting, Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince - Summertime, Marlena Shaw - California Soul and The Grid - Swamp Thing. Banging out Some Might Say by Oasis now.
I’ve now almost forgotten I got my favourite bike stolen from outside Croke Park on Sunday.
The summer of '95 is back.
It could be the revolution years all over again, a long hot summer and dublin winning the hurling all ireland
I accept your surrender.
A perusal of the charts of 95, Gangstas Paradise, Back for Good, Some Might Say, Wonderwall, Country House, Cotton Eyed Joe, Hold me Thrill me, Roll With It, Here Comes the Hotstepper, Never Forget, Waterfalls, Common People, Two Can Play That Game.
Epic!!
Boom Boom (Boom).

How the fuck could a man grow to full age without knowing this? I’m trying to imagine somebody wearing a short sleeve shirt and a tie and I can’t do it.
Andy Sipowitz maybe
My father is the oracle on this topic. It’s actually his favourite topic of conversation. After the match on Sunday he wasn’t too interested in Dublin winning their first Leinster hurling title in 52 years, he was more interested in informing me that 56 years ago to the day he stood in “the spills” watching Dublin lose to Louth in the Leinster football final.
He thinks if the weather keeps up, this could be as good a summer as 1959, 1976, 1983 and 1984. He doesn’t remember 1995 though. That’s too recent and he can’t remember it.
“1961 was good, not outstanding, but a lot of very, dry, solid weather.” His words.
I’ll throw 1989 into the mix from my own personal memory.
Limerick has seen the highest temps two days in a row and with temps set to reach 30 again tomorrow that should make it the three in a row we so badly crave.
It’s only going to dip to 18 tonight. Another sweat fest awaits.
What mosquito esque pests do we have in Ireland? Been a few similar types over the last few nights around the place.
You should seen the windscreen of my car after driving up the M7 last night…hundreds of flys and insects turned into mush. The sound effects of them hitting the window every few seconds was like nothing I’ve ever come across in this country
The fishing must the good in the evenings lads is it?

I think my hayfever went through the roof just looking at that.
That’s coolmore I believe
It is indeed 130k bales from it they are expecting.
€10 an hour to made with Coolmore handling the bales. Tough fucking work in this weather.
Hardship.

correct 1989, i was only 10 but it was a belter after a shocking summer in 1988
as far as i can remember Dublin and Cork were playing a senior football friencly in somewhere like Ballincollig in the summer and it was called off in the second half due to the heat, Cork would go on to beat Dublin in the pissing rain later that August in Croke Park with John Cleary getting 2 penalties
Its one thing you’d miss about home, the weather here is the same June - sepetember, 30-33 degrees every day with >75% humdity, like its grand compared to the rain but ud get sick of it too
Long term forecast for limerick takes it out to Sunday week with temps of 22 and higher all the way. Wonderful. Springsteen will be great fun on Tuesday evening.
