[QUOTE=“Fitzy, post: 1129780, member: 236”]Power came back on at 3am on Saturday.

With the greatest respect mate, I don’t think anyone here gives a flying fuck when power was restored somewhere in Australia. You’ve had a rough couple of days. Get over it. No more updates needed. Lovely morning in Fingal btw

Oops there goes another rubber tree plant.

I enjoy posters sharing little snapshots of their lives. @Fitzy, I was interested in your storm reports and I was heartened to read about you remaining steadfast and battling manfully to cope with this upheaval. Glad things appear to be returning to some semblance of normality, mate.

He has a lot to chew on.

He won’t be laughing now

That’s a bit harsh mate. You seem a bit cross on a number of threads this morning.

Personally I’d rather get told about the power in Australia than about a money back bet which didn’t exist.

You needn’t worry about being told about any more bets mate

Ah now he’s in a huff

A fucking heap of Snow falling in Laragh, Co Wicklow.:eek:

I’m saddened you don’t give a flying fuck about my little vignettes of antipodean life DB, however it is encouraging to see you putting so much time and effort into not giving a fuck.

I live on the Central Coast, about 90kms north of Sydney and work in the inner west in Sydney. The drive in is normally 1 1/2 - 2 hours and back in peak hour and then I’m out most days for a meeting or two around the Sydney metro area (have to go to Newcastle on Thursday, hour drive up there from home, then 2 1/2 hours back to Sydney). Rather than spending a ridiculous amount on a shitty little house in Sydney, we opted to move to the coast to buy a decent house on a large block for about 1/3 the price of a similar house in Sydney. IT’s better on the coast as well. But job opportunities aren’t great, so I continue to work in Sydney as the money is good and the missus can study at uni and the young fella has a great lifestyle. I work from home some mornings, so it’s not too bad. I don’t mind it, spend a lot of time on the phone in the car working. I’ll probably do this for a couple years more as I’m looking at maybe starting my own business on the coast when the missus finishes uni and starts working.
Loads of people I know in Sydney have these ridiculous mortgages, live in not great houses, both partners have to work to feed the mortgage and still spend up to an hour getting to work every day.
I’m ahead of them I think, plus I get to be involved in my beloved Central Coast Mariners.

Fresh this morning.

Indeed

Whatever makes you happy mate, but that’s nearly a day every week in the car. #livingthedream

Beautiful morning, the sort of morning gobshites will be flooding Instagram with their shit filtered photos of the Liffey and the Samuel Beckett.
