We were brought to Wales 7 years in a row for holidays and the whole family of us loved it.
I know @Bandage was there too as a young lad. And look at him now.
There’s inspiration in those valleys.

Sorry to hear that, and what’s the weather like over there ?
Had you no other option?
Two young children so flying isn’t really an option for holidays yet. It’s a Centreparks style holiday resort place which will be great when the weather picks up.
@Thrawneen 's kind words have led be to believe I can turn this around and make it one hell of a holiday. Cheers mate
Enough about you and the wife. What about your kids?

Great times but the cost of sterling though would put me off.

We went to Wales twice and it was great.
@Fran is Oakwood theme park still on the go? That was brilliant.

That’s right beside where we are, will give it a shot one of the days
Too much hassle, Mrs. Fran would have a nervous breakdown
@ChocolateMice and @Fagan ODowd have been mugged off here, mugged off good and proper.
It’s a nightmare alright Locke. Didn’t expect it to get much worse when we booked it, but it did
Give it a try. Its not as much hassle as you would think. Airlines are ridiculously good in facilitating kids.
Who’s going to drive the car home if he does?

Too early to give you a review but the facilities look good so far
How long did it take to get there Fran
We stayed near Carmarthen once. Tenby is a fucking lovely town to visit.
As for the park itself. We required very few things. A decent water park with good slides, arcade machines, an on-site chipper, the exhilarating freedom to walk around together (me and my bro) and do a bit of exploring, something like table tennis or pool, a half-decent cabaret show in the evening, a lemonade that we’d never had in Ireland.
After 7 trips to Wales we had our final bash in France and it just wasn’t the same. Too fucking hot and full of French people. The best part was getting the ferry from Rosslare over-night with a herd of cattle on-board.
In Wales, a visit to a market (or several) was mandatory to buy old football annuals or Bart Simpson t-shirts.
Man, I fucking LOVED those holidays.
Ferry from Rosslare to Fishguard was 3 and half hours. About an hours drive from there
