Heard that too-friend of mine on the council said Wexford had one of the lowest amounts of salt purchased and that was fairly noticeable driving home for christmas once you crossed the border.
Wild out there today - wet, windy, slushy, blustery. I almost got turned inside out while down the fields earlier. I was grateful of the cup of tea when i got back inside…
Still in sleep wear, haven’t bothered getting dressed today*.
Its been bucketing down all day here.
The little one is cranky- teething and head cold rolled into one- so I’m not anticipating any movement outside today

*I can now understand why the knackers go out to the shops in their pajamas
Parts of the N11 have been closed due to treacherous driving conditions.
where does the N11 take you?
Unless it’s the road to my local chinese I believe I am unaffected by this.
Well it’s quite a long road. It goes from Wexford to Dublin. It’s the road outside my house.
Bandage can you be a little more specific?
Where is Jack Whites?
it’s where you get killed if your wife doesn’t like you.
Well in, Runty. It’s the pub formerly run by Catherine Nevin and her late husband, Tom. Just after the Arklow bypass on the road to Dublin.
i passed by that accident well just after it happened… it is nearer to the arklow bypass than jack whites… driving conditions on that road were unreal… took me about 45 mins longer to travel back to dublin … there was deff 3 if not more cars involved in the accident… there seems to be one car ontop of the ditch on the heading towards arklow side of the road
was the accident on the southbound stretch ? the missus was heading down to gorey this afternoon
Fuck that, glad i came up the back road now (via bunclody, Carlow and the M9). Very wet but the road conditions were grand, flew up along
Fucking hell. Thank fuck I got the bus up from Gorey before all that. I might go drinking to celebrate that fact.
what time did you get the bus thraw ?
Wexford Bus at 2:20. Didn’t arrive in till around 2:35 though.
there’s a shaggin tree blocking the old leixlip to maynooth road so if your on the 66 bus itll be delayed, if in a car use the n4 to detour,
Hopefully conditions improve before i make my escape back to israel on friday night.
Itll be a miracle if we get racing here on new years day id say…

Thought you’d be back amongst the palestinians at this stage Mickee…
Back there from a monthly trip to Tesco where I am sure I bought almost everything in the shop so that I don’t have to return for a while.
Weather is woeful but at least you can travel on the roads.
My brain has somehow decided that I simply must go for a 5 mile run or I’ll be fat for tomorrow night and get no birds. Roma jersey, long-sleeve Ireland jersey, marathon finisher jersey, jacket on top. Still probably won’t be enough.
You’ll break your neck running in this weather.
