Still snowing in South Dublin.
Gerry Fleming has just said 20cm of snow is like 20mm of rain so a slow thaw is good.
We’ve had about 14 hours of continuous light snow here. Still going and should stay going for another few hours
RTÉ Radio 1 is very good this morning.
Dublin airport is closed but runway kept open for emergency landings.
We cleared the front garden this morning to make snowmen but it’s been freshly covered in the past two hours, daycent hill found in Mary I to slide down on a bag, this day is gonna go down in history 
Still snowing away light and steady in limerick city.
However the essential shops in the city centre are going to re-open by 1pm today.
Without the crowds and bustle Dublin is a bleak looking kip .

Sleety snow now falling
Still snowing in the capital dying from last night will wait until about 2 before I tackle more

i performed a “drop test” on my son in the back garden, he is 1m tall +/- , snow up to his shoulders

apparently the straffan kill road is impassable for lads around there
I went out there and cleared off the driveway. I expected to see my neighbours out as well. Not one of them. I was going to clear the footpath but there isn’t any point.
