Is it legal to pump water from a local stream up to your land?
Do you need permission or a license?
does the stream go through your land? will the pump cross any other land or public areas?
A neighbour is pumping it across open farm land and under a National Primary road. Over half a mile I’d say. I was just amazed when I heard and saw this that it was allowed. Obviously got permission from the other land owners, but I was still very surprised. Basically because if everybody did it they’d be no river left.
He moved from ordinary tillage to high yield horticulture recently.
