On the way home from work there was a female power walking up the road in the rain in a flourescent jacket. Definitely a soft eve.
I was out walking dogs in it earlier and was glad of the gale blowing at my back for the home stretch. It looks worse then it is out there. Not a bit of cold in the air yet.
When is Hurricane Tomas due to arrive? Its damp enough out tonight.
I don’t know where they got this hurricane thomas thing. That hurricane is below around Haiti and there isn’t a hope of it reaching here over the weekend

I dont know but I was in town earlier and they were all on about this hurricane on the way and it was a smashing day outside. :rolleyes: Few showers tonight though alright.
It’ll get fairly windy tomorrow afternoon/evening alright but it’ll be nothing more than a small storm.

Very inclement out there now. Wind is fairly howling in Southeast Fingal. I’ve spotted a drainpipe that has become detached from its bracket on a neighbour’s house already. Fairly pouring down too. We may need to resurrect the I’m Home Safe thread tomorrow.
I’ll be outside in the weather for a good period tomorrow morning, i hope i make it back in one piece.

Are you equipped with good proper rain gear Dunph? I was at a match earlier today and the rain was coming down at a 90 degree angle. Worst game of football Ive ever seen in the conditions. I was soaked through after it as I didnt go fully prepared!

Rookie mistake. I’m an experienced outdoors man and will be fully prepared for whatever the weather throws at me tomorrow. Not a drop of rain will touch my brow…

No I was at West Kerry Championship for some reason today because a few of the lads were down that direction at it! Brutal game. The weather wasnt bad when I was on the way but turned fairly nasty soon after. Crokes v Monaleen was always going to be a mismatch.
More treasonous behaviour from that crowd in met office. Are we going to have to sandbag Clontarf every time there is an hours rain? Is that the way it’s going?
