Gale to storm force winds, southeast veering southwest, this evening and tonight on all Irish coastal waters and on the Irish Sea. Winds will reach violent storm force 11 for a time on coasts from Carnsore point to Valentia to Slyne Head.

I think we are looking at a more eastwards trend at the moment. West & south west coast could escape severe conditions.

At moment it’s look like places along the east coast of Cork will take a serious battering. Places like Youghal.
Edit: Met Eireann have just gone red for Cork.
Surprised with Met Eireann sticking with the Westerly track.
Most of the models seem to be on a more easterly track.
I’m reading about a direct hit to the south of the country then tracking north with a split between east and west with SE & NW gales respectively.
We’re still 12 hrs out though.
