The wedding music thread

Yes some 90’s dance tunes should work really well.

Also, don’t close the night with Take That FFS. The Waterboys or Bowie’s ‘Heros’ are the way to go

Daft Punk…Get Luggy

The Fresh Prince theme tune instead of the National Anthem

My own night finished with a one-two of Toto’s Africa and Phil Collins/Phil Bailey ‘Easy Lover’.

A cousin of mine’s husband ran back in from the taxi that was pulling up when he heard the double Phil at the end.

OIRELAND’S CALL WHA?

@caulifloweredneanderthal please post your final set list in full here and let us know how it goes.

mos def. If I can remember it. Four more months to get suggestions in anyways lads.

If you;re talking mid to late 30’s vintage, a bit of Green Day wouldnt go astray, When I Come Around or Basket Case.

Wonderwall.

The important thing with being a DJ is not to be jumping all over the place. Few normal modern songs together, Few dance tunes together, few sing along tunes together, then boom Maniac 2000, Thunderstruck and the national anthem.

It’s a classic for a reason.

Have we had “we built this city” & “rock the boat” yet? Old school lodge classics.

Also “Tommy K the DJ”

a friend is in a wedding band and dj’s after weddings, if you like I could ask him what’s hot and what’s not these days. Know your crowd was one thing he did say.

@caulifloweredneanderthal, it goes without saying you’ll be playing “The Joyce Country Céili Band”?

The Joyce Country Ceili Band? Muldoon central - buckleapin galore

Thanks mate

I do a swim every day and I feel great after it., maybe that’s the reason

There won’t be much modern music on the agenda. I might fire in a bit of Bruno Mars or something as a segue to a bit of Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross etc. to get the women up there. Then I’ll lay down some Warren, 2pac, and maybe even some Coolio.
