Ok ok here we go, merry Christmas one and all . I have a serious feeling of festive cheer this year . I think it’s due to the last 2 years being so miserable for almost evereyone. I’m after a lovely feed of pints with @TreatyStones and @mrstreatystones followimg on from a great skelp of pints during the week with @Julio_Geordio and @TreatyStones .
It’ll be short this year. But Jesus lads if the last few years have thought me anything it’s purely, Enjoy what we have when we have it. Cut out all negativity if you can. It takes too much energy. It’s so much easier be happy if u can . Special shout out to all who are struggling to shake the mental anguish and just general hardship COVID and lockdowns have brought. Remember you are never alone . Merry Christmas one and all. I have made more contribution this year to the forum than I have in the previous few(still not a huge amount) .but it’s great to see it’s still as good a spot as ever so . …

Alright everyone, it’s after midnight so wishing you all a happy Christmas.
I got you all a present - mass. Masses will be said for the whole TFK community and their families by Father Noonan in St Teresa’s Carmelite Church in Clarendon Street, Dublin this month. Special regard will be had to the families of those who have suffered throughout the year, such as @Cheasty , @Faldo , @Watchyourtoes , @Batigol and Mrs Batigol, @binkybarnes , @Elvis_Brandenberg_Kr , @croppy_boy , @fistoffury , @Fagan_ODowd and @Portumna_Bridge and anyone else who has had a tough year or is going through something now.
You can see the influence of @Tassotti 's Catholic aesthetic on my choice of card design.
There’s an awful bad dose going round and I have half a mind to return to the lockdown thread. I fear the country needs a hard influenza lockdown, with at least a 10km travel ban and no unnecessary visits to loved ones after Christmas Day and no pubs or socialising. That will be tough but the alternative is now mass slaughter. This will have to stay in place until the current wave of colds and flus is defeated. The health system is overstretched. I am fearful that tomorrow could be remembered as the Christmas Day Massacre. Enjoy the day but please dont kill your elderly relatives. @Fagan_ODowd , @Malarkey and @anon67715551 must be especially careful.

Watched Ballyhale Shamrocks and Ballygunner last night with the parents. Terrific game and an even better result.

I watched it back twice during the week.
First half was the best 30 minutes of club hurling ever. I doubt we’ll ever see better.
Second half was theatre as the Ballyhale dogs of war broke the back off the Ballygunner resilience.
We could be waiting a long, long time before we see a spectacle like it again.

Indeed we might. The tackling was something else.
Had not seen the long interview given afterwards by both TJ Reid and Joey Holden. The two men spoke really interestingly and well.
