It seems to have helped in Singapore as per @Turenne, would direct people towards self-isolation rather than continuing to infect the populai
They’ll need a lot of closed doors.
It’s not safe.
Cheltenham was Britain’s call to cancel though.
It was, we could have had messaging and advisories against travelling to it minimize the impact and lower the risk.
If one case is confirmed with travel to Cheltenham can you imagine the mess?
“The heart is attacked by the virus, independently of the lungs”, says an Italian Professor on Newsnight.
I find it also affects the sleeping function in humans who have not contracted the virus, a bit like how the away goals rule affects the dynamic of a two legged Champions League tie even if there haven’t been any away goals scored.
Coveney was a bit shifty looking trying to explain away why there was no travel advisory issued. Horsey set must have had a word with FG.
Should have been a government statement to cancel all non-essential travel outside the island a week ago. I think we’re not far away from such a statement as regards all non-essential travel inside the island.
absolutely, but did Paddy Irishman have to gallop over there faster than any of the horses galloping for a week of hi jinks in such numbers?
unless the horsey supporter makes his decisions on the beck of the British government
We will see incremental shutdowns now as the situation escalates.
Christ we are in for a grim few weeks
The EPL needs to be called for a few weeks at least, if not voided. Cheltenham going ahead was the stupidest decision I’ve witnessed in a long time. The GAA season will have to be scrapped also… There’s more to life than sport. Fuck that.
Months and possibly year.
Hopefully it’ll start to burn out quickly. A few grim weeks of isolation most people should be certain if they have it or not then, and they can act accordingly.
@Dziekanowski Any self isolation tips seeing as it’s just another standard Thursday night for you?
We will be in some form of restricted way of life until such point as we are immune or vaccinated.
It’s very important now not to remove restrictions too early or else we will be back to square one.
