Things I learned today (Part 1)

Hottest place in the universe in a village in Oxfordshire :joy:

Limerick won the 1921 all Ireland final in 1923.

And lost the 1923 final in 1924 because they would not give th keeper his customary large whiskey before the game

Karma. ‘Aisy know Tom Ryan wasn’t in charge.

Luka Modric and Mark Viduka are cousins.

That’s a good one. Viduka is of Croat heritage so I guess it’s not that surprising.
I’ve said it before and I’ve said it again, we need to be targeting the balkans for immigration.

Anthony Le Tallec and Florent Sinama-Pongolle are cousins

I doubt very much if Tina Fey’s dad was at Woodstock from the way she describes him in her autobiography

Were you there yourself?

I wasn’t. Going to Festivals in Ireland wasn’t a thing until Lisdoonvarna and Macroom.

If you haven’t been to Ballisodare then you haven’t gotten the full festival experience…

Chuck Fucking Berry headlined it one year. Don’t let yourself down by saying you never heard of it. FFS.

What year did it finish?

He wouldn’t piss in the face of a Sligo woman, that’s for sure!

Early 80’s. Moving statues and the search for Shergar replaced Ballisodare for entertainment back then. Bleak times but No Comment!!!
