Ireland is a fairly right thinking country, by comparison to most. Normal people very often don’t get costs awarded against them in actions against the State,where the Court considers that the matter raised is one of exceptional public importance, which in the end will be Mr Justice Kelly’s call. Mr Justice Kelly has an exceptional record as a jurist and adjudicates without fear or favour and whatever way he decides, I’d be happy to accept that he has done the right thing.
