Things That Are Wrong

There are two types of accountants, chartered and those that wish they were chartered.

do they have chartered accountants in USA - I thought they were all CPA over there

Edit - a fight amongst accountants over the relative prestige of their qualification

The US boys are college degrees, a segunda sort of crew looking up to the primera

Chartered Accountants are so far up their own ass with their deluded self importance.
They tend to end up working all sorts of hours for other cunts and lack the creativity and finesse to create and develop a business of their own.

in fairness to them (and I am not one and have no affection for most of them) a lot of the ones who go to the Big 4 leave after they train and go into industry - most CFOs and CEOs of decent sized companies in Ireland and the UK are probably chartered accountants

*58% of FTSE 100 companies have a chartered accountant as CFO or CEO

Excuse my ignorance, but is there really that much of a difference between fully qualified ACCA etc rather then Chartered Accountant?

different qualifications but I think difference is chartered accountants all train from accountancy practices and CIMA and ACCA can do it from industry so maybe perception issue.

I am sure some of the accountants on the forum can explain it in more detail

Please don’t.

Ah okay fair enough, reasonable enough to be fair, most qualifications chartered or otherwise are of little use in your day to day job once you move up the ladder a bit.

That is as shit a stat as you can get. Surely at least 80% of ftse companies should have a chartered accountant as a cfo.

Knowing that I missed out on a free bar next Friday by three lengths.

Abandoning the child is bad enough but separating the twins then too. Surely their “daughter” will grow up resenting this.
