I remember being on J1 in Cape Cod in summer 2002 and hearing The Scientist for the first time when working in a restaurant. A moment that made me stop in my tracks and put down the plates I was serving. What a frontman. What a band.

I actually didn’t mind Coldplay at the start. I liked the scientist, and a few other songs were okay. There I said it.

Nobody said it was easy

They are as good live as U2 were at the height of their powers.

It drives lads demented.

Yellow was a great tune when it came out but everything went rapidly downhill after that.

I seen them in concert in MSG back in 06,pretty good live.Not as depressing as I expected them to be.

Yes, Parachutes is a fine album… They just became pure bubble gum after that. Saw them at Glastonbury in 2010 / 11 or somewhere in around there. Meh… Elbow are the band Coldplay tried to be.

They get a hard time in my opinion.

They have a reasonable body of work and there are a lot worse bands out there.
