Things that continue to be right…or things that float your 🐐

Have you evidence that babies were murdered in tuam?

Odd you have an issue with that but not abortion clinics.

They were buried without naming ceremonies… Isnt that who want a candle lit for? No?

They tragically died.

They weren’t wilfully murdered, as you know, happens in abortion clinics.

Would you have voted for the likes of tuam?

the God botherers are on trying to spoil a perfectly wonderful thing, because it goes against their beliefs and traditions.

Insidious bastards.

FFS lads will you not be ruining the childs baptism?

Happy birthday mate.

Read up on it. They were left to starve in many cases (particularly in Tuam) That’s pretty much murder.

They’re very easily triggered

Horrendous conditions at a time we don’t understand, the government passed all responsibility on to the church who had mental dogmatic in charge. But large scale murder, even with food deprivation, i dont see it as analogous

You’ve lads here that get very riled up around certain topics - @maroonandwhite and @Cicero_Dandi will post endlessly about abortion … What are they doing about it tho? When I feel passionate about something i’ll get out and get involved and fight / help the cause … I wonder what these lads do other than bang keyboards?

you backward, yoda talking motherfucker.

Firebomb clinics? Christ might compel that action alright.

How will you face up to the fact you voted for abortion, that produces the same result on a far larger scale than the mother and child homes you deride

Very charitable of you. Tuam sold babies. They trafficked them. They starved them. Didnt give babies food because they were bad babies. Because they placed little or no value on the lives of those born outside wedlock. And have done their best ever since to block those people getting information, records and peace of mind. They still do to this day. You’re right, I don’t understand it.

Don’t be trying to deflect onto me to placate your guilty conscience.

Choco’s sprog will be christened whether he likes it or not. Mrs O’Sullivan will have the child down the church as soon as she can behind his back if that’s what it takes

All those horrendous things but they didn’t kill them, so not really the same as abortion. Gotcha.

You cant see the similarities ? These homes were a way of hiding our problems, sending our shame away as we didnt want to deal with it like mature people. Abortion has been happening since history has been recorded - it was happening in Ireland before the vote and would have happened if the vote was not passed. Why should we send our women away like we did for generations? We will all agree that in an ideal world there wouldnt be abortion but we dont live in an ideal world — If a woman, for whatever reason, and they are numerous, cant carry her pregnancy to full term, then I think we have should provide them with care and support here and not send them away on planes or take pills and disclose it to no one - we’re better than that.

If we didnt cede power to the religious zealots and allow them introduce the 8th then we wouldnt have had to remove it and we could have introduced laws over time that dealt with a lot of harrowing issues … I had an aunt die of cancer that developed when she was pregnant - baby died two days after being born … we’ll say no more…

I believe we are a good people and 99% of the time our women will do the right thing — we need to up our education and talk more openly about these issues and not hide them away any more.

Anyway - there’s 10,000 posts in a thread about abortion if you want to read up more about it.

And feel free to go out and start educating woman about the topic of abortion. You’ll be a natural.

You don’t see the similarities. There wasn’t a twitter campaign supporting the homes like there was the referendum. And what was voted in was far from a measured response to help in ‘hard cases’ it was a free for all so stop trying to hide behind them, you voted for it

Have a great day pal.
