My father in law did it for 40 years.
Worked every hour under the sun rearing four kids.
He was stressed out to the hilt, Retired now and a different man.

I had to bail out a German family on the bus today. They were half way between Howth and Sutton trying to board the bus but the driver (who seemed like a sound skin) was patiently trying to explain to them that they could only board with coins or a Leap card. Notes or a credit card wouldn’t do. It would have been a twenty minutes walk either way to procure either with three kids in tow. I always carry a stack of coins that I keep for playing cards and I was able to sort them. But it’s a ridiculous state of affairs in this day and age that you can’t tap and go.

I love the transport system in London because of the tap and go. No faffing about worrying about fares. Smooth

The Dart has been stuck at Claremont bridge for about an hour and twenty minutes at this stage. There are people on board. Good of Iarnrod Eireann to let the punters know that they can use their Leap Cards in the area. That is if they can open the door and climb down a railway embankment and over a fence or perhaps walk the tracks back to Howth or forward to Sutton.
Just to clarify I’m not on the train but could see it stuck when I was driving to SuperValu
