My father in law did it for 40 years.
Worked every hour under the sun rearing four kids.
He was stressed out to the hilt, Retired now and a different man.

I had to bail out a German family on the bus today. They were half way between Howth and Sutton trying to board the bus but the driver (who seemed like a sound skin) was patiently trying to explain to them that they could only board with coins or a Leap card. Notes or a credit card wouldn’t do. It would have been a twenty minutes walk either way to procure either with three kids in tow. I always carry a stack of coins that I keep for playing cards and I was able to sort them. But it’s a ridiculous state of affairs in this day and age that you can’t tap and go.

I love the transport system in London because of the tap and go. No faffing about worrying about fares. Smooth
