Fairly decent hour of tv this week.

I think someone suggested on this thread that they blew most of the season’s budget on this episode. Money well spent I’d say. They weren’t afraid of a bit of gore anyway.
Good episode alright
The wildfire scene was fantastic. Unbelievable carnage.
Great episode. Some performance out of Cersei as well.
[spoiler]Be interesting to see what the Hound does from here.
I’d expect the Lannisters to try and form an alliance with the Greyjoys now and take control of the North.
The Starks would have been expecting an attack from the Lannisters and will have to react now so maybe they’ll be approached by Dany once she knows that Rob does not want to sit on the Iron throne.
Nothing about the crowd North of the wall either so it’s nicely set up for twist after twist for next week’s finale.

Winter has come.
Found it very confusing.
I thought Stannis was captured last week after he lost? If so how was he talking to the red haired witch again or was it a dream etc.
Sansa never left with the hound, it was just assumed she did. Very shabbily done.
Also what happened to Winterfell and Lily Allens brother? The place is levelled but do we know if he’s dead or not, who levelled it we don’t know either. Poorly explained.
The Dragons stepping up the plate and the White Walkers at the end were class though. Despite trying to rush teh story too much it whets the appetite for next year big time.
Yeah the programme is a mess. Probably going to stop watching and finish reading the books instead.
Stannis was never caught, that was his own men holding him back last week as his forces fled.
I’ll let you come to the rest in the books.
I didn’t think it was a great episode, the weirdness seems to be cranking up a fair notch as well which doesn’t sit well with me.
Re winterfell, that will be explained next season.
sansa declined the hounds offer last week.
Pretty much do one or the other. If you are doing both at the same time you are going to be confused as what is happening in the book is waaay more detailed than the program - but thats to be expected. Still, I think the program is doing the book justice as there are a massive amount of storylines to web together. Winterfell was explained much better in the book and was skimmed over the other night.
I am not confused, I’ve read the first three books (tbf I didn’t make that clear). They’ve done a horrible job at explaining an awful lot of character motivations and decisions throughout the season.
yeah id agree with you there turenne, books are far better, they are trying their best, but theres so much going on
That’s the catholic in you.
I still haven’t seen the new episode, any good, gents?
Yes. A nice return.
Lovely.
I assume there were diddys on show?
Quite good, gets everyone back in touch nicely…
