Tipperary GAA 2010

Kerry 0-13 Tipp 1-9 today in the McGrath cup

Tipp 1-12 Clare 0-17

Tipp Team was

Cummins,
C O Brien, Fanning, Curran
David Young, Thos. Stapleton,Shane Maher
Gar Ryan, Benny
Festy, Hugh Maloney, P Kelly
Pa, Job and Eoin

Subs who came on - The Web,Noel Mc,Shane Mc, Lar and Bonner Maher for benny late on.

Best for Tipp were Shane Maher, Gar was good in the first half, stapleton in patches.

Benny as usual got on a load of ball but did fuck all with it.
Tipp wont be win an all ireland with Hughie Centre Forward, had two goal chances in the 1st half but his swing is too slow.
Tipps goal came with 5 left from Noel Mcgrath after a good build up.
Eoin K looked very trim for this time of year.

Was very impressed with Clare, you could they have a lot more done and the extra game stood to them. Their high catching was very good at times. Conlon had a great 1st half, got a bang near half time and this seemed to affect him in the 2nd.

Clare no.9 hurled well as did the wing back(one of the Donovans i think). Didnt have a program and didnt recognise them. Tipp did hit a lot of scorable wides in the 1st half.

Whatever loser!

2 good choices.

Yes - I had heard that Fanning was in the running for the Captaincy alright.

Its a great feeling just knowing Tipp are going to win the All-Ireland this year, before a ball is even pucked.

The money spent on the season tickets is well spent so, no hassle looking for tickets for the final.

Ye’d be going for 3 in a row in 2011 only for Diarmuid Kirwan too…

TIPPERARY Team v Kilkenny

B Cummins

C O’Brien, P Curran, B Maher

D Fanning, P Maher, S Maher

B Dunne, S McGrath

S Hennessy, S Callanan, H Maloney

E Kelly, M Webster, N McGrath.

Strange selecting Hugh Maloney wing forward, would have thought Brendan Maher would’ve been further out the field.
:o Webster full-forward.

Benny Dunne…

My bet on Tipp no longer looks so good now.

Hope Tipp are hoping for rain and heavy ground on sunday with Hennessey and Moloney on the wings…

Kilkenny might send out the “C” team after all after seeing that team.

Tipp by 6.

Timmy Hammersly, Buggy O’Meara, Bubbles Dwyer,James Barry and kieran morris were in training with Tipp tonight. Hammersly is the only one added to the panel permenantly by all accounts.

What club is Hammersly from, Declan? Presume you’ve seen a fair bit of him via your Fitzgibbon Cup interest - how good is he?

Was Hammersley starting with the 21s last year? He had some Fitzgibbon this year, scored 2-20+ over the weekend alone
