Thurles Sarsfields 3-27 Cappawhite 0-04,
West clubs getting some serious beatings in this.
Am I correct in guessing that this championship structure of 32 teams is designed to lead to a gradual reduction of senior clubs over a number of years?
Some serious hidings handed out in the early rounds which would suggest that there’s nowhere near 32 teams of senior standard. It can’t do those clubs any good either, getting beatings like that.
Limerick and Clare are going the same road. Limerick reduced from 16 to 12 and introduced a new Premier Intermediate grade which will be very competitive. Clare had planned to reduce from 20 to 16 but their run to the All-Ireland last year meant that they didn’t have the dates to run the relegation fixtures at the back end of the season.

Yes, the County Board are finally coming to the conclusion that the current Senior Championship needed radical overhaul. In reality there should be a max number of 20 Senior teams competing in the Championship. Some would argue that 20 teams of a good Senior standard is a stretch too, but it would be a start.
Some clubs with serious notions about their status are currently getting a rude awakening, and about time too.

Surely the mighty Rosegreen would give Cashel a rattle at this stage?

Is that the time or the score?
Buggy O’Meara with 2-17 or something similar for Kilruane in that match:clap:
You can’t beat natural talent:pint:
kilruane would bate cashel and boherlahan with their mickies. Cashel and Boherlahan are relegation fodder.
In fact I’d go as far as to say they’ll beat Cashel by a score a man. Cashel are beyond septic.
ah yeah with their mickies.
Your score a man prediction was very conservative
which did they use their mickies of their hurleys. My prediction was a with their mickey prediction. if they used hurleys it was bound to be more.

holy fcuk.
This is funny.

Why is it funny? Shane Hennessy is a minor hurler who has been ruled out of the Munster MHC and Liam Cahill is the Tipp minor manager. Rte have got two stories mixed up. Classic Rte website snafu.
Yes, I read that earlier and presumed the that person who plagerised the article from the Examiner hasn’t a lick of GAA knowledge
