Tipperary GAA 2014

a weird border anomaly

Graiguecullen is in Carlow.

And they can have it back anytime they like.

They don’t know where the fuck they are

Cashel and Davins relegated as expected. Ballingarry and Moneygall won both games handy enough

Not much sympathy for Cashel after their carry on with Ballybacon.

Think you meant to post that in the roasters thread

Winners of the B All Ireland?

Will EOS stay on? What was his initial term when he took the job?

I have to be straight & say he looks terribly naive on the sideline. The substitutions yesterday were a total clusterfuck.

Opinions?

He seems to react to everything very slowly on the sideline, maybe too much faith in his team turning it around. Too much loyalty to Noel McGrath especially.

It’s also tough to see Seamie Callanan still throw the ball up in front of lads, especially defenders of the calibre of JJ and not expect to get hooked. Also Noel McGrath’s little flick of the hurley when a high ball is coming which has worked once in his Tipp career, just put up your hand ffs, you’re a big man. The fact that these players are still making these mistakes says to me that O’Shea isn’t telling them they have to change

Hopefully EOS will stay on.

for a third year in a row, limerick would like a handy prep game against EOS and Munster’s whipping boys to prepare us for another Munster final.

We have seen that this Tipp team is not ready to compete with the big 2 of Limerick and Kilkenny. Perhaps this year might see the whipping boys of Munster win a championship game?

Thought Denis Maher should have been on before Shane Bourke for starters. Some talk Saturday night that he was going.

Tipp are undoubtedly in better shape than they were when he took them on. They had a few miscues in front of goal, a bit of bad luck with a kk goal, and a referee who allowed the game to be played on terms that suited kk rather than themselves.
They still ran kk close enough that Cody is still rattled sufficiently to be whining about a legitimate decision three weeks ago.
The team looks happy and settled.
What more do ye want from a manager?

For aristocrats of the game like Tipperary, Munster and All Ireland titles.

o shea has done a decent job but there is no getting away from the hope for the best style substituation policy saturday.
kilkenny were in complete control of the game, it was obvious he needed to do something with the forwards but he waited until after the decisive score to make a change
gearoid ryan lar corbett and noel mcgrath could all have been taken off without any major disruption as they were not making any headway.
is niall o`meara totally gone from the picture. tipp really needed a player or two who were going to be able to get on hard ball and go forward with it

unfotunately for tipp the tweed is well frayed at the cuffs from being passed down through the generations with only the odd new suit of clothes arriving

He is out of the country due to studies I think

Agree, but sometimes it just goes against you.

If EOS wants the job it should be his with no doubt. His faith in players probably resulted in the performance in the drawn game, though may have bit him in the replay. Lesson learned. Having built them up and finally hitting on the best set up for tipp he probably has some space to bench McGrath next year. Maher Maher and Bergin is a super half back line and Barry will do at full back, especially if Cahill goes back in at corner and Barrett is on the other side of him -Cork would kill to be able to field that full back line. Up front Tipp still lack a marquee forward like Kelly or Lar at their best, Callinan is good but he isn’t it. O’Dwyer is the player everyone thought McGrath would be. Ye had a super u21 team that will yield a few more players. Looks bright for Tipp. The cunts.
