A good club man like yourself must be delighted
Eamon O’Shea is a sound man and has done tremendous work over the last few years but his tenure will be seen as a failure which is a pity. Too slow to make the big decisions especially at midfield where we well beaten.
Good to see Noel McGrath back. Should have been on earlier if truth be told.
Brendan Maher is not a centre forward. His clubmate Dan McCormack will be wearing No. 11 next year I’d imagine. The rest of the forwards were not up to much.
Padraic Maher is a brilliant hurler but needs to stop the shaping.
Barrett and Barry were heroic. O’Brien thundered into it after a dodgy start. Great servant.
Gleeson made good saves but his distribution was poor.
Callanan - Wow…!
Ye only lost by a point to the new champions
Bring back Babs
Don’t be too hard on Callanan lads. Anyone can miss a penalty. Hope he’s not made a scapegoat for the loss.
Scapegoat for the loss? We would have been beat by 20 points without him
Tipp now need a manager with a bit of steel. Sheedy had it - Declan Ryan or O’Shea didn’t have it.
Tipperary hurling needs John McIntyre.
We have a New Manager. His name is Michael Ryan.
Afraid not.
The Upperchurch variety.
And ye might as well have been.
If Callanan scored a goal from the penalty, Tipp would be looking forward to an All Ireland final today. He’s the main reason they’re not, but like I said earlier, it could happen to anyone.
I think they proved on the Sunday Game that Callanan shouldn’t have taken the penalty as he took a blow to the head when he was brought down for the foul. Bubbles should/could have taken it.
Oh right, I have the Sunday game recorded so will watch it later and see if I agree with them. Thanks
Good for you
If Canning had scored his then what? Ifs and buts in a close game always lead to more concentrated analayses by the loosing set of supporters in particular. It is highly probable that the game would have taken a different direction had it been scored.
The same could be said for Fennellys hook on Mulcahy last year. There is no guarantee that a goal for Limerivk at that stage would habe won it
Likewise JJs hook last yesr
Divisional finals were played today in the Senior Hurling Championship.
North Tipperary - Kildangan 1-18 Templederry Kenyons 0-18
Mid Tipperary - Thurles Sarsfields 1-17 Loughmore-Castleiney 2-13
South Tipperary - Killenaule 0-21 Mullinahone 2-13
West Tipperary - Eire Og Annacarty 0-16 Knockavilla-Donaskeigh Kickhams 2-9
These results mean Lorrha and Upperchurch get back into County Championship by way of finishing third in their group and Killenaule and Sarsfields winning both their division and group. Templederry, Loughmore & Kickhams all gone even though they reached their divisional finals. Toomevara needed a Mullinahone win to get back in so they are also eliminated. Loughmore down to Roinn 2 next year, they will piss the football now.
14 teams left:
Thurles Sarsfields
Kilruane McDonaghs
Eire-Og Nenagh
Killenaule
Drom-Inch
Kildangan
Clonoulty-Rossmore
Eire-Og Annacarty
Mullinahone
Roscrea
Portroe
JK Brackens
Upperchurch-Drombane
Lorrha-Dorrha.
Drom-Inch beat Thurles Sarsfields in the Mid Intermediate Final
Cashel beat Galtee Rovers in the West Final
Ballinahinch and Newport drew in the North Final three weeks ago, replay this Friday.
Kilsheelan-Kilcash beat Moyle Rovers and St Marys beat Ballybacon-Grange in the South Semi Finals.
Not sure how the County is going.
What a farcical set up.
It’s bizzare
Was at the mid final. Good game, Loughmore may have been the better side but they let in a soft goal with a few minutes to go. Pity they’re out as they were just getting their best team back. Some controversy at the end, the ref tried to make a draw of it and blew up after only 30 seconds of extra time but of course he made a mistake and Thurles were leading by a point when he blew up
