Tipperary 2-17 Offaly 1-15
Tipperary team & subs used.
Good to see a bit of new blood getting a run out.
The under 21 is being fair dragged out. The west and the south are still to be completed. They will probably have to nominate.
Conor Stakelum added to the Senior Management team.
Funny that he has only been added now, 6 weeks after training commenced.
Has been successful enough in business, so hopefully he can carry that over.
Exhibition game vs Thurles CBS selection of past pupils on Sunday. I can’t see too much being learned from that.
Probably more than you’d learn against Offaly presuming the Thurles CBS lads on the Tipp panel are playing for them?
Past pupils who played with Tipperary or Kilkenny seniors or were on
training panels make up the Thurles CBS All Stars panel. See below the
list of All Stars which Pat Henderson and Fr. Tom Fogarty will have to
choose from.

It would appear Brendan Cummins is on board in Laois as a selector with Cheddar this year. He’s been on the line in all 3 WC games. In the past 2 years he’s been goalkeeping coach, but rarely was seen on match days. Definite change this year to his role anyway.
Our year!
The Offaly boys think they’re back after beating Eddies chaps yesterday. We’ll fucking ate them alive in O’Connor Park in February.
Greasing himself up for a Tipperary Minor/U21 or Senior job in 2018/19 or 2020 season. He’ll make a good manager i reckon.

Tipperary defeated Laois by 1-31 to 0-17 in a Senior Hurling Challenge on Sunday afternoon in Dr. Morris Park Thurles.
On a windy, wet day in Thurles, Laois had the aid of the strong wind in the first half and raced in to a 0-9 to 0-2 lead at the end of the first quarter. Tipperary steadied the ship somewhat in the second quarter but still trailed at the interval by 0-14 to 0-6.
The second half was all one way traffic for a much changed Tipperary (13 half time changes) as they dominated from an early stage. Eight unanswered points saw Tipperary draw level by the 47th minutes before a good catch and pass by Conor Kenny helped set up John McGrath for the games only goal in the 51st minutes. Laois did recover to score three unanswered points midway through the second half but the last ten minutes saw Tipperary score at will to complete a 17 point victory, 1-31 to 0-17.
PJ Scully (7) and Willie Hyland (3) were the top scorers for Laois while second half subs Liam and John McGrath accounted for 1-9 of Tipperary’s 1-25.
