Is ā€œFloweryā€ a common Christian name in Tipp?

I think it might be a way of differentiating between the different Ryan clans. Most families of Ryans that I know would be better known by their nicknames. A case in point would be Malachy Colin Ryan Malachy in the Limerick GAA thread.

McDonnell has been made redundant by the Tipp Star.

I wouldnā€™t have had any real interest in the long stats based, analysis pieces he used do but sad to see him lose his job. He made a huge effort.

I suppose with no prospect of anything GAA related in the next number of months, youā€™d wonder how many more lads like him will be let go, locally and nationally.

Thatā€™s an awful pity. He was a great read. A moneyball GAA journalist. The long piece he did on Limericks AI win was top drawer.

Good article alright but I felt it was a little bit too complimentary (for the want of a better phrase) at times

It must be hard for ye Limerick lads to take compliments from TippošŸ˜œ

Yeah, I was shocked. He must of picked up covid last year before the rest of us.

He was the superspreader. Passed it onto Breda.

We must add on that as an extra symptom to the virus ā€œa tendency to compliment Limerick hurling despite every bone in ones body fighting against itā€

Fine team. Whoā€™s unlucky to miss out?

Noel McGrath obvs

Canā€™t argue with team, but likes of Noel, Fox, Lar, Paul Delaney, Corcoran probably the closest to getting there

Edit: looked at it closer and you can see the voting percentages

Landslide for Skippy!

Dan McCormack will never get the credit!

Ronan Maher unlucky too, better than O Mahony even if cb is now no longer his best position.
Some forward line when you can leave out Lar and Bonner too and not bat an eyelid.
The kk 08 team would beat it though

Naynagh paper will always elect him :joy:

Had to be there all the same

Mahony probably the most consistent at 6 for years . If we look at it in five years, Iā€™ve no doubt Ronan will be there

Anyone who remembers him knows heā€™s far better hurler than his fellow nominees there. I think he won 4 consecutive all stars
