Big win for Solohead

Does a team have to win the county to be promoted to Junior A or just their division?

Great to see.

Even though they have lost a few good young lads to Cappawhite in recent years they are coming and coming.

Will probably have a County Minor next year and one of the lads that played tonight could make a Tipp Under 20 panel in next year or two.

Have to win the County to go up Junior A.

All Ireland Club Champions Clonoulty didnt actually go up at all as they already had a Junior A team.

I’m delighted for them. Great bunch of lunatics

I’d say they can go up if they want to but have to go up if they win the county.

Clonoulty had an option to stay down as they already had a junior A team.

There’s a huge difference between Junior A and B.

A shrewd observer had informed me today that Solohead will take beating with their supreme fitness levels due to playing both codes, which could make a telling difference at Junior B level; he was proved correct as Solihead powered home in the second half.

Got hammered in Under 15 mid final though

Does James Barry tog for the Upperchurch seniors? You’d nearly have to spring him if its in the melting pot with 10 minutes to go?

Think I read something lately saying he’s centreback for the juniors

Edit

Their strength and conditioning work has come on leaps and bounds this year. They don’t have household names from the inter-county game (James Barry is serving his retirement as a junior A centre-forward) but they’ve 40 players at training these evenings and the fitness to compete with Tipperary’s club elite. Brothers, cousins, uncles, nephews, and neighbours coming together in their autumnal ritual.

Kilruane into the final.

Won by 6 but missed another 3 or 4 goals. The church looked tired.

Kilruane play a lovely brand of hurling mixing it long and short.

Kilruane far the better team, but should have closed the game out much earlier. Upperchurch got nothing off the inside line in the 2nd half

Last time kilruane reached a final?

1986

Kildagan up by 4 at half time.
Some great scores from distance in the second quarter. Drom only hurling in spurts and have done very poorly on their own puck outs.

I reckon 4 points have come from Drom messing with the ball and getting overturned, 2 from Drom overcarrying too

Jerome Cahill apparently the main man for Kilruane today, with 1-4. A smashing hurler.

When he gets on the ball he makes things happen.

It was an overall effort to be fair, Seamus Hennessy had to come on after 15 mins and he improved them immensely. His clearances are so long.

Niall o meara excellent at 6. The one worry with Kilruane is their depth especially with Craig Morgan injured.
