Tipperary GAA 2022

The best of good luck to him though I fear for our fortunes.

Wont be long coming round.

Divisional Championships will be played in late June or early July I’d say.

Will they apply a bit of common sense to those Paddy’s day weekend fixtures I wonder. Probably all on the Sunday at 12pm

We used to always have a round of West championship football early on Paddy’s Day. A great way to start the day.

That would be the ideal rather than waiting around

Same team as last week

I saw the Kilkenny team earlier and my God it looked desperate altogether on paper. If Cody can get a tune out of those lads it’s all the one.

I’d say Ballyhale would beat it by about 10 points.

Club transfer issues in West Tipperary club looking like ripping a family down the middle.

Sad to see.

What’s the latest?

I see they were ‘Not Granted’ during the week but I presume that’s not the end of it.

Sad to hear. Families are usually very close in Tipperary.

They’ll sit the year ahead out now I’d imagine and go again for transfer next year.

It’s a raw one. Their Dad has a County medal with the preferred choice of transfer.
But, their mother, uncles & cousins would all be heavily involved in their home club.

I believe they made a bollocks of the initial request, the address used was of an uncle so that probably went against them.

It’s tough on both parties. The young lads are very talented and feel they should be hurling at a higher standard than Junior B.

The club too feel rightly aggrieved as they have done the hard work of nurturing them and obviously a lot of money & volunteer work has gone into the facilities out there.

Big issue for the club now will be fielding adult teams if better players keep transferring away.

( I see the Careys have transferred back to Clerihan, they’re probably well in the twilight of their careers but some additions back nonetheless )

The GAA have major issues to sort with inter county club transfers.

It’s fairly simple really. You can hurl for the club Iive in not those Cashel cunts down the road.

This is Boherlahan I think?

Rosgreen and Boherlahan yeah. O Dwyers I believe. The smaller clubs are getting shafted. Mullinahone snatched Conor Whelan from Davins. St Pats suffered a lot over the years with fellas transferring too. Fair play to Rosegreen for standing their ground. We need to start taking Cork County board stance a bit. Seems to be more scrutiny and checks and balances there.

You have to give lads your blessing if they want to go. Difficult I know but it does way more harm going down the other road.

I would have left O Regan move to be honest. The hill are now stuck with a player who does not want to play for them.

Yeah I can see that side of it too. Watergrasshill aren’t a bad team in their own right. I would be thinking it would be hard to sell a vision to younger lads coming through if they just leave their best player walk or didn’t fight for him. One player leaving can lead to a trickle.

I think theres value in putting in the objection anyway just to not make it seem like it’s an easy thing for someone to do

If the club is Junior B in Tipp you can hardly blame any young fellow with a bit of ambition wanting to move to pastures new.
