He fitted a lot into his 24 years with All Ireland medals at minor, u21, a Harty Cup and a senior county title with his club

Think there’s a tribute on Tipp Mid West this morning at 10:30am.

It’s still hard to get your head round it.

There are no words. RIP

Ironically enough the first time I saw him play was against Kilruane in a County Under 12 ‘A’ semi final back in The Ragg in 2010. My own club was playing in the curtain raiser so we stayed around.

He stood out a mile in that game and almost beat a very good Kilruane team on his own. 2-06 to 2-05 it finished. Always tracked his progress after that and he ticked every box up along.

A lot of the same players on both sides would have been playing last night.

Its just so sad.

Absolutely horrific. Thoughts go out to his family , friends and the club. Desperately scary for the players on both teams last night

Life simply isn’t fair at times.

RIP

Very sad news. RIP…

You leave home on a beautiful Friday evening to represent your parish Is the holy grail of every clubman - the county senior championship. Your heart and head are committed to giving it your all for your family, friends, club mates and parishioners and then something like this happens. It’s hard to make sense of it, life and sport can be cruel mistresses.

As the well known Tipp commentator Eddie Moroney once said “there’s no crut to this at all a’tall”. Condolences to his family and friends. The light of Heaven to his gentle soul.
