RIP, very sad
Shocking stuff for all. Condolences to his family, friends and team mates. Awful.
Nice tribute from Timmy.
Fare play to Stevie & John for putting that together under such a cloud, especially clubman John.
Some lovely tributes to Dillion and the Quirke & Fryday families.
There is a vigil for Dillion tonight in Clonoulty Gaa field at 8.15pm, all are welcome.
I see some anti vaccine cunts jumping on this already online. ffs.
That poor community and club
RIP, would an autopsy be normally done when there is a sudden death?
Best thoughts and sincere condolences to the young man’s family and community, Clonoulty-Rossmore GAA Club, West Tipp and everyone in Tipp.
Just an awful tragic turn of events. The mood today at Ballyhale Shamrocks and Mullinavat was sombre because of it.
RIP Dillon Quirke, a fine young hurler, in every sense of the term.
They got the go ahead from the family last night to do it. A wide range of contributors which tells you all you need to know about the young man
Superb piece, Har. Dermot is a terrific writer and a terrifically unobtrusive writer.
Fucking heartbreaking listen at the end.
Andrew is a great man
A lovely tribute but as you say a tough listen at the end.
A lovely piece on Dillon featuring Franny Quinn (Cappawhite) and John Mccormack (Kickhams).
The rivalry in west Tipperary is as strong as anywhere but there’s a common bond when we take off into Thurles to represent the Blue & Gold.
Lovely piece. We’ve a serious West contingent here on the forum. I’ve always had a soft spot for ye, and love seeing a West team doing well in the county.
Only catching up on the media pieces now. Its so very sad. RIP.
Its the butt of a lot of jokes on here, but its worth noting that Dillon captained West Tipp to win the Miller Shield last winter.
Its too early to be thinking about it really but it might be nice to rename it and play it in his honour down the line.
Great idea and I’m sure his family would be all for it. The strength they’ve shown so far is unreal. Andrew Fryday’s interviews the latest two days would bring a tear to a glass eye.
