“Relief milker” is a candidate for phrase of the year.
Drom playing very well here.
They’ve improved so much this year.
Two big additions to them. Winnie is a fair operator
Was Johnny Ryan not starting due to some kind of injury or just age catching up with him?
Second goal for Drom v Thurles
Age I say, Drom have capable subs to add to their 15. Tony Cahill and Fitzpatrick were Tipp underage players on top of Ryan and Davy Butler.
I was in attendance
The back is fucked. Drops down to junior.
Comes back to the Intermediates and causes havoc
Nice look to Drom this year.
I’d say Drom have 20 players that have played Championship for Tipp at Minor/Under 20/21 or Senior.
Look well balanced outfit
The team to beat, hot favs with Kiladangan
It would be great if today’s result brought ‘The Barnane Goat’ out of INTERNET retirement.
He used to have the Thurles lads hopping like sausages back in the halcyon days.
Drum’s subs were right good too.
Tony Cahill is a current Tipp under 20.
Johnny Ryan played National League for Tipp around 2013/14.
David Butler was part of Tipp panels for a bit around that time.
Maidch Fitzpatrick is only 19 and will probably be a Tipp under 20 next year.
Current Tipp under 20 and a sub? Fair strength in depth.
I’m not sure Drom have a free scoring forward to keep score board ticking over but they have a broad range of scorers which is good. Callanan was very quiet from play. Doubt he touched the ball 2 or 3 times. Legs look gone. David Collins shooting was erratic but I thought he too looked laboured. Nolan and Campions will carry them a long way. The 2 Moloney brothers Emmet and Jamie have that football athleticism that translates well to hurling. Emmet is a good man marker and the brother is very fast in open play. They are a well balanced side but a team like Loughmore might grind then down. That Butler fella who came on is s big unit but I can personally attest that he is well able to cover the ground.
Kildangan have current Tipp under 20’s who can’t get a run at all for their Senior team.
