Thats always a problem when a team wins a grade with players mostly up to the age.
Is there a concede option? Where a team concedes and the scoreboard stops and basically the strong team fire on all their subs and the remainder of the game is at least competitive? Granted thats only feasible to a certain age.
Laois have a system where they throw everyone into the one grouping, and they play each other and they group teams from there. There are occasional shocking beatings taken and handed out but the reason for it is they couldnāt trust clubs to grade themselves properly so they foisted this on clubs. Tbf it actually works once you get past the initial round where thereāll be one or two absolute trimmings.
That means Kilruane must play Clonoulty in the final game. C/R safe from relegation but must get a result to go straight into a quarter final.
Kilruane need to win.
Nenagh are Nenagh, theyāll probably be putrid the next day after a good win today.
Moycarkey prob into relegation barring C/R blitz Kilruane.
I was at the Clonoulty match (cc split season/event junkie zealots).
Clonoulty played very well. They seemed to play with freedom and enjoyed themselves. Were comfortable enough until a Rhys Shelly 21 made it a nervous finish. Their subs made a difference - Cathal Bourke made his return from an ACL and scored 2 points. Mikey Winnie too back from America.
Unfortunately my normally reliable relief milker has fucked off for the day and i was unable to make it to the double header Thurles.
