Its Tom Ryan.

Himself and Declan were joint managers of the recent Clonoulty All Ireland Junior B winning team.

Declan stepped up to the seniors while Tom remains with the Junior Bā€™s who were recently stunned in a West Semi Final

Correct,Tom is Declanā€™s father. The other Ryan is Festy. Played in goal for years with Clonoulty. Heā€™s dead probably 20 years now I reckon. I think Clonoulty have only had 5 senior goalies since the 60ā€™s. Seem to remember westside bringing that up when Declan Oā€™Dwyer retired.

How old is Declan Dwyer? What a player he was.

The first time he came to my prominence was 2007 but he looked fairly ready by then. He was Captain by 2009 after all.

Andrew Fryday was there in 2005 Iā€™d say (think that was his 25th year?) and i barely remember the 06 West Final as i spent more time looking for sliotars behind the goal in Golden than watching the game.

Im surprised Jason Dwyer isnā€™t in goals now.

I started a lovely little chat hereā€¦ā€¦

Rusty Keane is a great name for a Trainer

Just the 15 Ryanā€™s between both panels too :joy:

Those Cashel KC and Kickhams minor teams weā€™re very strong.

The senior championship is very open although all things being equal Kiladangan prob the team to beat. One of the few teams without injuries also. Church v Brackens is a nice draw for both teams, free shot in a semi then.

Clonoulty got the worst draw possible really

They did. The stadium will suit Kiladangan also. Conor Hammersely will be back though which is another boost.

Nenagh won the minor that year, hammered us in the Co Semi-Final and I think beat Cashel in the final. Nenagh had a serious team.

I think heā€™s 38/39. Diarmuid Cullen may have played one year in goal around 06-07 but could be open to correction. He moved to Australia not long after. Andrew was in goals for around 25/26 years. Before him youā€™d the West PRO, then Festy ,then Tony Brennan I think.

Iā€™d agree that Jason should be in goals. Declan showing some loyalty to Sadler I feel. The goalkeeping situation in the club was all over the shop last year. Youā€™d a situation last year where JOD didnā€™t play any adult hurling. He was Junior B sub goalie at one point. I think the fact Declan has him as sub goalie for the senior team means that thereā€™s obviously moves in place to bring him in over the next year or two. Having the current men over the senior side will help him.

All games fixed for the Stadium

Itā€™s something I donā€™t agree with, the streaming is probably the main reason.

Kilruane mcdonaghs coming with another crop of u13 north A champions. Looking forward to seeing them play in the county u21 final of 2030 on Stephens day. Cc @peddlerscross

Thereā€™s something very special about a Magpie Under 21 team.

Didnā€™t Jimmy Maher spend a year or two in goals for them around 12/13/14?

For a goalie, Dec Dwyer had a tendency to pick up a few injuries.

He missed the 2007 and 2012 West Finalā€™s and 2015 semi final through injury.

Jimmy Maher started in 2013 and 2014 on tactical grounds.

Was he the goalie? I used to know him well in college. Sound man, funny fucker.
