Tipperary GAA 2023

100%. We live beyond our means given that we don’t have a sugar daddy and they expect the common man to pay for it.

They put it as a double header with the intermediate final but there’s too much of a gap between the games so very few have interest in both.

It was 20 euro in today.

A good County Final in fairness although it always seems a bit unfulfilled when the ref blows 10 seconds early playing for the draw.

Sars started Paddy Creedon over Seanie Butler which raised a eyebrows in Thurles when the team was named, and it backfired really when Creedon failed to fire and Butler made a difference when introduced.

Overall Sars should have won. They played the better stuff but could never get ‘scoreboard separation’. Eoin Purcell missed a big chance when they were two up and well on top half way through the second half and Kildangan goaled soon after. The goal itself will be one Paddy McCormack will feel he should have saved. Denis Maher was my MOTM and Ronan Maher dominated too. Up front they lack real pace though which means for all their craftiness, they will never really rip you to shreds. I think they made a mistake taking Billy McCarthy off with 15 mins left.

Kildangan will be buoyant going into the replay. The Flynn’s were very good, Hayes caused a lot of trouble and Willie Connors had a fine game. The Gallaghers as always stood up.

I wouldn’t share @endakenny confidence for either of these teams in Munster. Thurles were on a par with Ballygunner in 2016/2017 but back then they’d a peak Padraic Maher, Michael Cahill, Pa Bourke and Lar Corbett. The current team isnt as good. In the interim Ballygunner have improved considerably with Dessie Hutchinson, Patrick Fitzgerald and the younger Mahony’s coming into the forwards.

Kildangan might actually match up a bit better to them. Anyway theres a long way to go before then.

The intermediate final petered out for a finish. Golden lost their discipline abd finished with 13 men. Great day for Boherlahon with the 25 year team being honoured.

Would disagree with you on Ballygunner improving. Agreed on Hutchinson and Fitzgerald but caught for pace at the back. Lot of their main men in their 30s.

Ballygunner may not be as be as good as 2021/2022 but they are certainly miles ahead of where they were in 2016/2017.

They had not one, but two (2) drones flying over the pitch recording a recent game on the BOICMC - they also had five (5) lads on their stats team looking at Laptops/iPads - which just shows they are operating on a different planet to pretty much everyone else.

Very hard for Coach Egan or Coach Maher to compete against that.

What is Coach Egan’s title with Kiladangan? He wasn’t listed on the backroom team on TG4 today. Is the manager some sort of lame duck appointment doing BDE’s bidding?

Thats it really.

He was in team photo as a player but had no hurley/hemet for warm up.

Very much the main man on the sideline.

The drones and laptops can’t play mate.

Nice to see Darragh Hickey winning that medal.

They’ve a nice young team with more coming through too.

Pity for golden too as they punch well above their weight and kick football too tbf

How was he behaved today?

No issues.

Padraic Maher was probably more animated.

No wonder Billy was a bit quiet from open play today he had other things on his mind

That’s illegal

That’s fucking tragic

Lorrha edge out Thurles in the Intermediate replay by a point.

2-13 to 0-18.

That Sars team have been one of the highlights of the club year but it’s probably not a good thing to have their second team up senior.

Lorrha/Dorrha have went from the 2020 premier intermediate final to relegated in 2021 to 2022 intermediate champions and now up senior.

Ken hogan has some record with clubs.

Lucky the game wasn’t a draw if replay was on the long weekend

Is he down for the marathon again this year?!
