Tipperary GAA 2025

Is there a reason Cahill loves to flog Gearoid O’Connor?

It’s awful.

Our first starter on a Tipp senior team in a competitive game in 20ish years I’d say

If Sheedy wants it, he will take it surely.

If Sheedy came to Tipp Board tomorrow; they’d do everything they could to remove Cahill. Fairly certain of that.

I’d well believe it, they have previous for removing managers

Would it get much, if any backlash?

I don’t think so funnily enough. Cahill probably on thin ice with supporters but in his defence I think availability is poor. Tipp truly lacking gamechangers, and players like Jake Morris just never gonna hit levels that were probably hoped for - need new lads to take off flying it

I have it in the back of my mind that the Sheedy teams were expensive to run.

Can you actually cap the price of success?

His job is to prepare the teams to the best that the facilities and his capabilities allow.

Its someone elses job to fund raise and make the facilities available to the manager or in some counties case, call down to Adare and collect the blank cheque.

Sheedy came with his Teneo backed plan. On the field, he won another all Ireland with that team but off the field financially Teneo failed to deliver what they had promised.

I don’t think the tipp county board have the cash to fund him

Teneo fell apart around the time, but Declan Kelly is back on his feet now with Consello which Sheedy has a key role in.

They had Gary Neville swanning around Davos with them this week at the World Economic Forum.

I’d say Kelly and Sheedy have unfinished business.

I doubt the board will let Kelly near them again after he left them in the lurch financially.

My man on the ground told me Sheehy is back helping on long term strategic planning around the COE

Is Floyd a bit of a loss too or best without?

Would any of the Tipp lads be able to confirm or deny the existence of a contract with absolutely bonkers commercial terms in relation to the stadium?

The Catering Contract with ‘Big Al’s’?

From the way ye talk about him, this lad was already over-achieving to be in the PRO role? He has great vision apparently

Like a lot of these career GAA administrators who never amounted to anything on the field of play, he’d be familiar with the inner machinations of association politics and have the backing of tinpot GAA club in the south of the county like Newcastle and Fr Sheedys etc. even though he is a Castleiney man.

Is this the Knackavilla fella?
