Been a long time since thereās been a single U20 feature with Tipp at Senior so for 5 to come along at once is a start.
Rome wasnāt built in a day, and the current squad in general is very weak but no reason why we canāt start competing again from 2026 and winning All Irelandās from 2027/2028.

I remember when Kilkenny were in dire straits and they came down to Laois in the mid to late 90ās along with Mick Dempsey to examine the Laois Football Development Squads to model their own Hurling ones. Within a few years you could feel what was coming.
Its not dissimilar.

Thereās a lot of jockeying for position going on now between Sheedy/Woodlock/Cummins.
A lot will depend on whether or not Cummins makes a balls of the U20ās this year. If he does, then heās out of the equation but I dont think he can.
Would Woodlock have the stuff for senior I/C? Strikes me as a similar sergeant major type to Cahill

Based on his time with Drom Iād say not. Very much a his way or the highway type which is fine with young lads
