Tipperary GAA 2025

They had a team called St Johns back in the day. I played a bit with Peake Villa, we played St John’s who had Tom Waters. Tommy and Declan Carr and Tonto Lanigan lined out for Peake Villa.

Lost a munster youth cup semi to Peake Villa back in the early 00s.

That was their best ever side by all accounts.

First ever Munster club I believe, maybe 68? The first Club All Ireland wasn’t played for until '71?

  1. They beat Ballygunner in the Final.

Haven’t read the article but that’s all on Cahill I’d say - in terms of ‘not having enough done’.

Jaysis Liam…

‘the Tipperary brand is massive worldwide, and we need to get more bang for our buck in relation to that brand’.

Big difference between Tipperary GAA and Tipperary Crystal/A Long Way From Tipperary/Rock Of Cashel etc in terms of being a massive worldwide brand

I wouldn’t really disagree with him on this one, we definitely don’t be shaking the bucket in America the way other counties have been doing.

My reading of it is that Liam thinks his S&C guy and him didn’t see eye to eye and Liam wasn’t allowed to flog them as much he would have liked

Cahill did another long format sit down interview with Ronan Quirke yesterday afternoon which was broadcast on Tipp FM last night. His second such interview with Tipp FM this winter.

It sounded at the start like Cahill had requested to do this one himself so he appears to be on a PR mission. A lot of the same stuff covered as would appear to be in the Shane Brophy one.

Will you be sure to let us know if he does another?

I will indeed. We’ve been lucky in Tipp that the manager is always fairly good with the local media.

Babs’ daily slot on Tipp FM back during the great summers of 2006 and 2007 was truly BOX OFFICE stuff, but even Mick Ryan being summoned onto Tipp FM the morning after the Limerick defeat in 2018 to explain himself was tremendous radio.

Didn’t Mick Ryan refuse to speak to the media until the end of the championship at one stage in 2018

He didn’t talk after that Limerick match and also had Brendan Maher, Bonner Maher and Seamus Callanan sitting on the bench the same day.

Tipp county board have a decent PR campaign going on fronted by the two johnnies. I see they’ve another legends lunch coming out next week with Bubbles, Pat Fox, James Woodlock and Conor Sweeney. Thoroughly enjoyed the last one they did.

They are so broke they cant afford a decent Social Media campaign to push ticket sales for their house draw. Trying to cheap it out

Ya they are basically relying on their own pages rather than employing one of those companies that has the popups on social media.

The last video was excellent tbf.

When Clare, Limerick and Roscommon were running their draws not a day went by when the ads didn’t appear on Facebook or Instagram.

The Tipp county board are making a hames of it altogether, hoping that enough supporters within the county will bail them out. If they are not bothered going to matches, there’s little chance they will part with 100 euros.
